Premium Honey Bee Queens & Packages

Quality queen bees for sustainable agriculture. Raised by hand on the blackwater of South Georgia.

About

Four generations of beekeeping on the blackwater.

At Blackwater Bee Ranch, we are dedicated to providing high-quality honey and queen bee raising. Our mission is to promote sustainable agriculture and support local ecosystems through responsible beekeeping.

We are 4th generation beekeepers and have operated Blackwater Bee for 10 years — selling queens, 3 lb packages, nucs, hives and honey across the Southeast.

In 2024, Hurricane Helene cost us some 1,200 hives. In 2025 an accident took Al's right leg and nearly his life — costing us hundreds more hives mid-season. With regret, this year we will only sell packages, queens and honey. Nucs and hives will not be available.

What we offer

Three things, done right.

After Helene and Al's accident, we've narrowed our 2026 season to what we know we can deliver at our standard. Quality over quantity — every queen, every package.
